To support our Strategic Marketing team within the Advanced Materials division, we are looking for a Global StrategicMarketing Manager Power. The position is a full-time contract at our Advanced Materials European HQ in Basel, CH.


The primary responsibility of the Global Strategic Marketing Manager role is to develop & implement global marketing strategies to ensure the long-term profitable growth for our Power markets, by defining products and services that best meet our customers needs.


AsGlobal Strategic Marketing Manageryou will:



  • Set direction to the organization and create structured, focused and actionable marketing plans to deliver value in our Power market

  • Monitor industry news, market development & growth, understand key competitors’ offerings and regulatory changes

  • Analyze data, identify market trends and draw conclusions

  • Capture voice of customers and seek rationales for common customer needs

  • Identify and select attractive market opportunities with compelling business cases

  • Identify customer segments to target and compelling value propositions

  • Participate in the innovation pipeline development process and provide overall strategic marketing direction

  • Define price policy and channel strategy to produce the highest possible long-term profit and market share in the target segment

  • Collaborate with the Communications team and articulate product and service offerings, key benefits and messages for use by sales force with all necessary trainings and marketing collaterals

  • Collaborate with other functions to best meet markets opportunities and customer’s needs

  • Ensure that all activities are in line with Environment, Health and Safety principles, Ethics & Compliance and International Trade Compliance guidelines


Requirements:



  • Master’s degree in business/Marketing and 5-7 years of professional marketing experience is required

  • Strong knowledge of marketing processes and tools is required. Sound expertise in the electrical power industries is a must (HV, MV, LV, DDT & CT/PT)

  • Energetic approach with exceptional leadership skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills, taking ownership and accountability for results

  • Ability to understand complex business organisation

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, highly motivated with the capacity to motivate others

  • Solution and results oriented approach with a team player attitude

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to pass clear and compelling messages

  • Good IT and MS office knowledge as well as strong financial acumen

  • Effective oral and written English skills, any other language is beneficial
