As a Head of Finance you will be responsible for all financial aspects of business and drive the the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.

Your responsibilities:

• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks


• Be responsible for Smallpdf’s accounting, all audits and internal control operations


• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis


• Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives


• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines


• Develop with the management the corporate investment strategy and manage relationships with partners


• Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems


• Develop a cash & investment strategy of an international operating company with many different currencies


• Bring company’s finance IT system to a new level

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Head of Finance or similar role


• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, taxes, laws and best practices


• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping in an international environment


• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management


• Excellent knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting models


• Experienced with financial investment rounds


• Proficiency in accounting software


• An analytical mind with a strategic ability


• Experiences in leading a small team (2-5 people)


• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field


• Fluent in English, German is a plus
