In the role of the HR Business Partner reporting to the Global HR Manager for ABB Turbocharging, you are member of the Management Teams of your allocated units and you provide a wide range of HR support and expertise to managers and employees to ensure effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance. You collaborate with business leaders and provide strategic HR support as member of the Management Teams to achieve best business results.


Your responsibilities



  • Represent HR in the business entity; understand the needs of our Business and identify opportunities for HR to add value as well as set and implement HR priorities in the organization

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Business drivers and employees and acting as consultant, sparring partner and coach

  • Responsibility for organizational workforce planning and ensure that the business positions in the short term are adequately staffed; strong collaboration with HR Talent Acquisition Partners

  • Actively participate in talent and leadership development and create an effective work environment in which everyone is motivated to perform at their best; as succession planning on leadership positions, development discussions and leadership assessments.

  • Act as confidant for managers and employees to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, or policies

  • Support organizational changes and ensure change management requirements are translated into actions that support the business strategy and plan


Your background



  • University degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related field, complemented by at least 8 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, as a HR Business Partner or equivalent

  • Experience in a fast-paced and globally operating manufacturing environment is an advantage

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build strong and trustworthy relationships

  • Integrity and the ability to cooperate with different stakeholders; bring interests together while representing HR as a value-added sparring partner in the Business

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in difficult situations

  • Ability to work under pressure; flexibility to reach your goals by your own as well as working constructive within a team

  • Fluency in English and German is required (written and spoken)
