Job Description




As Area Sales Manager with full responsibility for your assigned region, you will develop the market position of u-blox in Eastern Europe as well as Baltic countries. Working at the forefront of technology, your target is to achieve strong growth of profitability by selling u-blox products focusing on the development of direct existing, emerging and prospect accounts in established and new markets.

The management team and your peers as well as other internal stakeholders (Product Strategy, Application Engineers etc.) are located in different countries within EMEA. Your independent way of working and your experience and facility in adapting quickly to a remote working environment will ensure your success in this role.

The position is home office based in Poland.

Your responsibilities

  • Define & implement the sales strategy for assigned accounts

  • Strong focus on developing direct existing, emerging and prospect accounts in established and new markets

  • Drive the sales process through the entire cycle:

    • Managing existing accounts

    • Making technical proposals

    • Negotiating sales contracts

    • Closing orders

    • New-client prospecting


  • Management of the local distributors

  • Coordination with the supporting Inside Sales

  • Influence the product strategy by providing feedback:

    • Current and future requirements from the market

    • Customer satisfaction


Your skills & experience

  • University degree in electrical engineering or related subject

  • Min. 3 years’ experience in sales of electronic or semiconductor products

  • Proven customer project management or sales experience in at least one of the following areas is mandatory: Cellular communication, satellite based positioning or short-range radio technologies (WIFI and BT)

  • Demonstrated track record of structurally and systematically developing new and managing existing business

  • Excellent customer relationship manner and the ability to negotiate and handle difficult situations with diligence

  • Strong ability to work independently in a remote working environment

  • Flexible team player with excellent communication skills

  • Self-motivated and disciplined with a professional demeanor

  • Polish mother tongue and excellent English skills are compulsory. Additional language skills like Czech or Ukrainian or a Baltic language are of advantage

  • Willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the time mainly to customers in your geographical area of responsibility or to the Headquarter in Switzerland.
