The Role


The Academic Project Manager is responsible for scheduling and managing the content creation and publishing process for a broad variety of teaching and learning materials. S/he will report to and work with the VP Academic Content Development to move each project smoothly from general project pipeline, to becoming a fully scheduled active project. The Project Manager will ensure that academic content for end use by teachers and students will pass from concept to creation to delivery to project retrospective smoothly, on time and to budget, while working alongside Editorial and Academic Directors to ensure consistent delivery of the highest possible quality of work.


 


Responsibilities:


 



  • Project management of the academic writing, quality assurance and editorial stages of development, and handover of content to dependent teams.

  • Identification and resolving of issues in process, ongoing implementation of process improvements.

  • Creation of project roadmaps and milestones with academic and editorial directors.

  • Supervision of content creation team processes, ensuring adherence to schedules, guidelines and requirements.

  • Coordination between different stakeholders in the content production process, with regard to timings for schedules and handovers.
