Competitor Safety Engineer – Trainee (Geneva - Switzerland)

Within the Competitor Safety Group, the Competitor Safety Engineer Trainee focuses on supporting projects related to the research, development and implementation of the safety equipment regulations for driver safety and vehicle safety.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

• Provide support to establish new safety standards, procedures and regulations, performing the relevant background research and literature review when necessary


• Support the development of prototypes hand-in-hand with safety equipment manufacturers


• Provide assistance to the Competitor Safety group, for tasks including, but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • draft safety standards and safety regulations
  
  
  • support the assignment of new homologations
  
  
  • preparation of post-homologation tests
  
  
  • analyse homologation test reports
  
  
  • data analysis
  
  


• Preparation and attendance of meetings, either internal or external

PROFILE:

• Engineering student or graduate in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline


• Ability to understand international technical standards


• Familiar with CAD software, some VBA coding and MATLAB experience would be an advantage


• Team player, with excellent communication skills and an analytical approach


• Fluency in English; French would be an advantage
