Medical Director - Neuroimmunology

Roche is seeking to hire a Medical Director with clinical practice expertise in Neuroimmunological indications such as, but not limited to multiple sclerosis (MS) and Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) to contribute to clinical development programs. These programs will include post-proof of concept trials including Phase III, Phase IIIb, and will involve collaborations with other internal development and medical affairs teams and external disease area experts.


 


·      The Medical Director will participate in cross-functional teams responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of studies. This will require close and frequent interactions with other functions including operations, biometrics, safety, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and a variety of business and commercial functions, and external contractors and/or collaborators


·      The Medical Director will act as the clinical lead in the development programs for Neuroimmunology indications. In close collaboration with the other team members the Medical Director will define and implement clinical development strategies and drive data interpretation.


·      Additional responsibilities will involve interactions with the Roche Research and Early Development organizations.


·      The position may also involve the management and supervision of Clinical Scientists and will require collaborative interactions with other medical directors on the team and within the Neuroimmunology Franchise.


 


Who you are


·      Candidates must have an M.D. and must be board-certified as Neurologist, preferably with multiple years of experience diagnosing and treating patients with neuroimmunological disorders.


·      Experience in drug development within the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.


·      The candidate should have the desire to proactively participate in a matrixed work environment within multi-disciplinary teams of internal clinical and commercial colleagues and have the ability to interact with external experts and investigators.
