KOF Swiss Economic Institute at the ETH Zurich is the leading institute for research in applied economics in Switzerland (www.kof.ethz.ch) and is looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher in Public Finance. The Public Economics division at KOF focuses on empirical research related to the public finance situation in Switzerland with a particular focus on local public finances, corporate taxation and/or social security systems. The starting date of this position is subject to negotiation.


Job description


You will apply empirical methods using macro- and/or microeconomic data to answer policy-relevant research questions in the field of Swiss public finance. The focus of this position will be on theory-driven empirical research. In general, the duration of the position will initially be for one year with the prospect of further extensions to up to in total six years. ETH Zurich offers internationally competitive working conditions. The gross salary will be in accordance with the regulations of ETH Zurich.


Your profile


We are looking for an outstanding researcher with a PhD in Economics. You should have the potential to conduct high-quality research, apply for and conduct third-party funded research, participate in forecasting activities and show a clear interest in the public finance situation of Switzerland. An excellent command of German and English is required; a good command of French is highly recommended.
