To facilitate exponential growth, the primary responsibility under this role is to design and implement effective strategies for account management, relationship building and lead generation from government agencies, bilateral/multilateral agencies and other public sector sources. Critical functions would include advocacy for positioning IQVIA as a preferred partner for development partner sources, including nongovernmental funding agencies, bilateral/multilateral agencies, and INGOs including WHO, GAVI, United Nations, GFATM, UNAIDS, UNICEF, MMV, UNPFA, COHRED, DNDI, MSF, Aga Khan, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, the Global Fund, etc.


Develops and maintains long term relationships for IQVIA with relevant stakeholders in the account, engaging with new audiences when necessary and is included in strategic or critical business discussions at headquarter and country mission levels.


Your missions:





  • Identify key accounts and develop relationship at headquarter and country levels of these accounts in Switzerland, which would include development partners, Government, non-governmental funding agencies, technical agencies, INGOs, etc.

  • Gather strategic intelligence regarding key donors, with a focus on understanding their priorities, funding cycles and upcoming calls for proposals. Also, collate and share insights into competitive positioning, demand trends, and client feedback

  • Conceptualize, manage and foster strategic partnerships to increase the share-of-voice to create high visibility and unique positioning of IQVIA as trusted healthcare advisor

  • Build and maintain relationships with traditional and non-traditional donors to identify their funding priorities and trends

  • Deliver activities for business development including writing high quality concept notes and project proposal, in close collaboration with Public Health Practice across other geographies

  • Work closely with Public Health Practice leadership to provide guidance on translating early discussions with potential partners into concept notes and project proposals. Also, develop internal and external communication material on the respective accounts such as project updates, value delivered, account MIS etc

  • Design, implement and maintain institution-wide processes and tools to facilitate information management, internal communications and timely follow-up in the pursuit of new partnership and funding opportunities

  • Identify and develop leads for business opportunities for potential funding from development partner to maintain and increase organizational growth

  • Advise and assist at Headquarters level and Country level at IQVIA to maintain strategic relationships with project donors to expand Public Health Business

  • Develop an integrated approach for addressing client needs and driving client interactions, ensuring that our people are working in a consistent and coordinated way

  • Drive participation in the client feedback process


Your profile:





  • Master’s degree in Public Health, political or social sciences, law, economics and/or finance, international development or a related subject

  • A minimum 12-15 years of working experience working for a governmental, intergovernmental and/or non-governmental organization including experience in fundraising and donor relations

  • Relevant knowledge of funding procedures of international organizations and major donors

  • Experience mobilizing resources from non-traditional sources would be an asset

  • Should have a flair for business development in the space of services and solution selling. Should be able to quickly get a good understanding of consulting solutions and be comfortable in making an elevator pitch to external stakeholders

  • Particularly strong people management skills, working with various internal and external stakeholders. Ability to quickly understand and translate account requirements to ensure successful delivery. Sensitive to cultural and organisational differences with the ability to build and manage relationships at a senior level which would include Partners, Promoters, C-Suite level etc.

  • Extremely well organised, efficient and proactive with the ability to deliver in a timely manner. Taking ownership and working both autonomously and as part of a team. Excellent influencing and communication skills and a proactive approach. Should be strong on follow ups and have problem solving ability

  • Given the nature of the job, maintaining personal flexibility to meet deadlines is key. Willingness to travel as required and manage many multiple tasks and client requirements simultaneously is required.

  • Experience working with UN, EU or US funding would be an asset
