Position Summary

 


In this role, you will establish and lead the strategy of Factory Automation System (FAS) in the Factory/Sites in line with corporate guidelines and make sure that all local FAS activities enhance business objectives, product quality and plant operation/performance. The Local FAS Admin works closely with the Local Industrial Automatician, with the Market FAS Manager and with the Local IS/IT.


A day in a life of a Local Factory Automation System Administrator:

 



  • Support and Monitor projects in the Factory/Site from the preparation (validation) to the implementation in terms of technical soundness (standardization), costs (budget) and resources ensuring the alignment with standards, flawless implementation and CQV (commissioning, qualification and verification)

  • Manage FAS IT budget and provide support for procurement and accounting

  • Monitor FAS impact in line efficiency and performance at the factories

  • Establish and lead the strategy of the Factory/Site in terms of FAS in alignment with the Business needs and the corporate standards

  • Promotes, leads and coordinates FAS in the Factory/Site

  • Provide Factory/Site level coordination for application testing/compatibility validation


What will make you successful

 



  • Minimum of 3 years IS/IT experiences in production environments

  • Ideally 2-3 years as a FAS engineer with manufacturing execution system experience (as Project Engineer, Project Manager or factory FAS Admin / Engineer)

  • Experience in the development of IT / IS projects as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Fluent in English and good knowledge of French, German is a plus
