Engineer at the interface of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (initially limited to 1 year, with the possibility of permanent employment)

90%-100%, Zurich, temporary

Our laboratory, which is part of D-CHAB, is internationally recognised for its work at the interface of molecular, surface, and material chemistry towards the development of efficient and sustainable chemical processes. Based on this strong expertise, the laboratory also explores other avenues such as the development of materials for imaging and data storage. This approach entails the development of new molecular precursors and materials as well as their characterisation by advanced spectroscopy augmented with computational modelling together with high-throughput experimentation, catalyst testing, and data analysis. The group is composed of ca. 25-30 highly motivated Master&PhD students, post-docs and visitors with more than 10 nationalities.
