Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

You will develop a new high end ESI-QTOF mass spectrometer in a small new team of engineers and senior instrumentation experts. Your main tasks are:

• assess the performance of prototypes and provide feedback and ideas to improve


• operating and maintaining top notch proteomics equipment like HPLC-ESI-QTOF, using biology standards and samples, with continuous improving methods and components to drive performance

Qualifikationen

• University diploma or PhD (physics, chemistry, protein chemistry or corresponding disciplines)


• Proven record (publications, patents) in the world of proteomics ID and quant, with a strong focus on instrumentation aspects


• Proven experience in running proteomics samples by HPLC ESI – TOF MS or >3 years work experience in a similar position, ideally in an industry or instrumentation research context


• Affinity to instrumentation aspects of proteomics, good understanding of both the biology of proteins and the underlying physical mechanisms of the analytical instrumentation


• Experience in ion mobility is an advantage


• Analytic, logical and innovative thinking


• Good communication skills


• Solid English skills and fluent in German
