Job Description


Trading Operations team is essential in the trading organisation and requires a reliable and effective staff. As a Financial Operator, you will be contributing to the effective collection and monitoring of the groups income by ensuring that invoices received for cargoes are accurately priced, invoices for cargoes sold are raised and payments monitored in accordance with agreed procedures and contractual timescales. You will be co-ordinating financial aspects of the post-deal trading activity to ensure pricing aspects of the contract execution runs smoothly. 
 
Daily tasks would typically include:



  • Raise timely invoicing of cargoes and associated costs in accordance with contractual deadlines, always ensuring that price and amount due are correct.

  • Ensure received invoices are accurate and correct and that documents presented for payment are in line with contractual agreements (Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading, Letters of Indemnity).

  • Work closely with operators to solve any Invoicing/documentation errors or discrepancies.

  • Report equity transactions to E&P affiliates.

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with Contractual Operations counterparts, third party service companies on a regular basis regarding post deal activities.

  • Liaise with internal departments as appropriate. VAT, Credit, Treasury.

  • Liaise with Counterparts Finance department in order to monitor accounts receivable and issue interest invoices. 

  • Secure payment of third party claims.

  • Monitor and follow-up on a daily basis, with internal and external counterparties, all outstanding cargo and associated costs related to each transactions.

  • Monitor and follow-up of outstanding provisions in Medissys.

  • Maintain good working practise with other internal departments.
