Committed to strengthening our team in Baden, Switzerland, we are currently looking to appoint a Value Chain Investment Manager. As a member of the global supply and value chain excellence management team, you will be responsible to drive innovation, automation and digitalization in our factories in Switzerland and China. You act as a leader with direct leadership and you will drive cultural transformation within the scope of responsibility

Your responsibilities



  • Member of the ABB Turbocharging Supply- and Value Chain Excellence Management Team

  • Head the global Investment & operational excellence organization

  • Ensure the right staffing, retention and growth of top talents.

  • Active part in the annual revision and approval of the global Value Chain-Strategy, Investment and Digitalization Roadmaps.

  • Define and implement in collaboration with the product groups, IT and the Supply & Value Chain organization the investment and digitalization roadmap to achieve highest productivity in the entire value chain and optimization of capital employed.

  • Drive digitalization and automation in all factories to ensure best in class manufacturing processes (key words: smart manufacturing, MES, Industry 4.0)

  • Scout new technologies and trends which allows to implement step changes towards productivity and agility

  • Drive in collaboration with the technology organization the industrialization of new manufacturing technologies (e.g. additive manufacturing)


Your background



  • University degree in mechanical engineering or related field

  • Strong and proven leadership skills and ability to influence others at all levels of an organization

  • Experience in an international environment and intercultural skills

  • Well-developed analytical / strategic abilities

  • Strong character capable to deal with all aspects of change management

  • Good command of English, both spoken and written, German is an advantage
