Your mission:


The Senior Project Manager leads and carry out the delivery of complex and strategic Operational Technology (OT) programmes and projects for Ferring Technical Operations (TechOps). Accountable for ensuring that an appropriate and optimal mix of internal and external project management resources are available to deliver the program. He actively contributes to the TechOps and OT strategy and budgeting process.


The Operational Technology operates under the area of Quality Control, Packaging, Production, Building and Facility for the manufacturing sites.


Main responsibilities:



  • Scope, lead, manage and carry out delivery (time, scope, budget) of complex and strategic programmes with higher levels of size, complexity and risk

  • Lead several local project managers in parallel toward the programme scope and goal

  • Manage programme and project budget including CAPEX and OPEX

  • Lead, manage and motivate project managers and project team members towards the project goals and ensure proper training on project processes and tools, project objectives/milestones

  • Identify, build and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal key stakeholders with the aim of becoming a trusted partner

  • Develop in co-operation with stakeholders strategic OT plans for execution and adhere to overall TechOps objectives

  • Identify, build, carry out, maintain and manage positive working relationships with external partners e.g. Vendors and outsourcing partners i.e. engage as well as manage partners’ resources and project teams

  • Provide regular, meaningful and accurate reports to the project key stakeholders and to TechOps management

  • Define effective technical solutions, and delivery requirements

  • Decide, design and carry out project management processes and methods, and contribute to the continuous improvement effort

  • Ensure a high level of compliance with Ferring standards e.g. project quality management, business analysis, organisational change management, and relevant external and internal regulations and guidelines are in the scope of projects in compliance and carried out.

  • Support TechOps management strategic direction by working collaboratively with other groups to improve performance


Required Experience & Competences:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, PM education and 10+ years relevant work experience as IT or OT Project Manager

  • Proven track record of successfully managed large projects with budgets >1 M Euro, involving work planning, resource and capacity planning, risk management, scope and issue management within HQ environment

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience in industry regulations (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is an asset

  • Experience in working with external service providers and in vendor management

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to work with people across different levels of the organization to build good working relations with internal customers, understanding their needs and building solutions meeting their requirements

  • Relevant work experience in an international environment, including leading teams across multiple locations

  • Experience leading multiple project managers under a programme

  • English - Fluent in speaking and writing

  • Results oriented
