Job description


From research to clinical development, Translational Science focuses on the activities that increase the speed of the development and delivery of our innovative treatments/promising assets. As an addition to the Translational Science team, we are seeking an innovative computational scientist to join our Translational Platforms group.


You will be responsible for advancing our Immuno-Oncology pipeline through the strategic application of cutting-edge bioinformatics approaches, to support the nomination of novel drug targets, to enable indication selection/patient enrichment strategies and to guide drug development decisions. You will interact with various functions from discovery to clinical development as a key part of our Translational Science team.



  • Establish bioinformatics function

  • Define and execute analysis plans to address scientific questions using internal and external datasets, including transcriptome (e.g. RNASeq from TCGA), proteomics, multiplex flow cytometry, multiplex immunofluorescence / immunohistochemistry

  • Implement and execute bioinformatics analysis of translational and clinical biomarker data by actively interacting and working closely with project teams and collaborators from discovery to clinical development

  • Communicate results to key stakeholders and contribute to scientific publications


Requirements


For this position we are looking for a highly motivated team member with a Ph.D. in either bioinformatics, statistics, molecular biology or genetics. Furthermore, we are looking for:



  • Strong experience in using programming language such as R, MATLAB, Python or Perl for complex data analysis

  • Strong publication record in bioinformatic analysis

  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, rigorous and creative thinking

  • Strong communication, data presentation and visualization skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in matrix organization to define and solve problems

  • Background in Oncology/Immuno-Oncology, and/or experience working with clinical trial data is preferred

  • Good spoken and written English
