Within Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED) Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Investigative Safety department is a well-established and respected group of 80 people responsible for the conduct of all in vitro work to determine the preclinical ADME and safety of new Roche medicines. We are seeking a highly motivated Master student, dedicated to the development and application of advanced cellular models to drug safety assessment. This internship offers the most talented students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with us.
Development of advanced in vitro microphysiological human lung models
Optimization of assays recapitulating lung disease (cancer, respiratory infections, asthma, COPD, …)
Design and interpretation of experiments
Presentation of results within a multidisciplinary team environment

Master student currently enrolled in Life Sciences, Biology, Biomedicine, Bioengineering or comparable
Proven practical experience in cell biology and work in a BL2 environment
Experience with lung biology, human immunology or microphysiological systems will be an advantage
Scientific curiosity, initiative, commitment and good organizational skills
Fluent English, German and French as a plus
