Associate Legal Counsel

To support our Legal & Compliance Division, FIFA is looking to recruit a service-oriented and open-minded person as an Associate Legal Counsel.
 


Your duties



  • Drafting and providing further legal assistance in the negotiation and interpretation of a broad range of competition service-related agreements, including hotel agreements, tour operator agreements, service provider agreements and agreements relating to the ticketing and hospitality operations for FIFA events and activities

  • Drafting, negotiating and interpreting bidding and hosting agreements in relation to all FIFA events

  • Providing legal service support, with a particular focus on supporting FIFA’s evolution towards more direct operational control and responsibility for tournament delivery

  • Assisting in the development and redrafting of FIFA guidelines and regulations

  • Translating legal knowledge into practical solutions for the successful operational delivery of FIFA’s world-renowned tournaments
     


Our requirements



  • Fully qualified to practise law (registered on the roll/admitted to the bar of the relevant jurisdiction, and completed academic and practical training)

  • Up to three years of legal practice (post-qualification education) in a reputable law firm. First hand experience in the events, accommodation/tourism or ticketing/hospitality industry, as well as previous transactional experience in a law firm or in-house is a plus

  • Fluent in English, any of the other FIFA languages is an advantage (German, French or Spanish)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders in a dynamic work environment, with proven ability to tailor advice and communication to different intended audiences

  • Ability to handle large workload, stress-resistant personality, ability to set priorities, and awareness of deadlines

  • Structured and precise working style

  • Sensitivity to different cultural sensibilities
