In this role you will work together with our experienced PMs and Senior Scientists across services, research and development. You will support the service group for efficacy and safety compound profiling using our innovative 3D cell-based technology platforms and also contribute to the development of novel liver disease models. Moreover, the position will be responsible for lab management tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in cell culture techniques and bioanalytical methods as well as expertise in working in a client-focused environment. Main responsibilities



  • Routine performance of compound toxicity and efficacy testing using 3D microtissues

  • Development and optimization of customized cell-based assays including troubleshooting and adaptation to clients’ needs

  • Microtissue characterization (optical, biochemical, histological)

  • Independent planning, execution and documentation of experiments including data analysis and interpretation

  • General laboratory maintenance and organization of lab management (lab cleaning, equipment monitoring, preparation of reagent aliquots, lab inventory)

 

Profile



  • MSc in Biology or other Life Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to work under aseptic conditions

  • Expertise in biochemical/cellular assays and the use of technical equipment (e.g. luminescent/fluorescent multiplate tests, ELISA, microscopy)

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize

  • Working experience in an industrial setting is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Resilient and reliable team player but also able to work independently

  • Good command of German and English
