This position reports to Digital Lead & Group Product Manager of Order to Cash and is responsible for Distribution automation products, such as TMS, warehouse automation and 3PL connections, aligned with the functional Product Supply area. The Distribution Automation Product Manager will talk to customers and partners, understand their problems, and help to define innovative solutions with internal and external teams. Objectives are to prioritize work against clear outcome-oriented goals, discover and validate real customer and business value, and identify what processes are needed to reduce the uncertainty for the product to succeed. Your tasks and responsibilities will be:
• Work with Digital Leads of related functional areas and DL & GPM of Order to Cash to convert aligned and agreed IT and Digital strategies into product specific vision and strategy and create executable roadmap.
• Coordinate solution design and orchestrate internal and external teams that design and implement new solutions in an agile fashion in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ensure the digital product is delivering the desired business outcomes.
• Ensure digital product is documented, GxP validated where required, support model is in place. Responsible for full product lifecycle.
• Ensure that the product fits in technically with overall Supply Platform landscape and architecture, through close collaboration with Architecture and Integration Lead.
• Understand the business goals and functional needs, market and competitive conditions and distill this into a digital product design and deliver a differentiated offering.
• Engage in continuous discovery activities to evolve the digital product vision to meet changing business needs, to leverage new technologies that will enhance the digital product and deliver better business outcomes.
• Coordinate work of software engineers, data engineers, designers and other members of the digital product team to direct the development of the digital product.
• Owns all digital product roadmap decisions and priority of items on the digital product backlog leveraging a deep understanding of the business and IT dependencies.
• Responsible for the content and quality of the digital product releases, collaborating with Product Engineers and Business Analysts, to establish a launch plan of the products.
• Work with respective function to ensure usage and adoption. Monitor the adoption and adherence by means of electronic / digital tools.
• Manage stakeholder expectations by effectively communicating the digital product vision and roadmap and though transparent delivery milestones.
Who you are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a product manager, business analyst or similar role
• Experience of working in complex global teams.
• Experience in the business domain relevant to the digital product.
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, influence and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence working in a cross functional team, building relationships with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to define, effectively communicate and measure the business value of proposals and deliverables.
The location of this position can be either in Basel (Switzerland) or Leverkusen (Germany).
