The Regional Director of Medical Affairs (RDMA) for Thoracic Malignancies holds primary responsibility for the development and execution of regional oncology Medical Affairs strategies and plans for Thoracic Malignancies across indications.  The RDMA for Thoracic Malignancies provides scientific and medical expertise to the Medical and Marketing organizations.


Primary activities include, but are not limited to:



  • Develops and executes Medical Affairs strategy for thoracic malignancies

  • Drives creation and facilitation of training materials for the Oncology Medical Affairs team through the appropriate review systems and serves as the medical approver of these materials

  • Designs, updates and gives training both internally and externally

  • Coordinates, presents at and leads Advisory Boards and other meetings with Scientific Leaders

  • Engages in scientific exchange with Scientific Leaders to obtain input on disease landscape, current data, and evidence gaps

  • Helps with planning of various aligned activities around major oncology congresses.

  • Supports commercial group for Launch Preparation and Post-launch activities

  • Serves as a member on the Value Evidence sub-team for lung cancer Manages internal stakeholders’ expectations with timely updates

  • Interacts with internal stakeholders for needs assessment and planning.

  • Leads strategy and interactions with Patient Advocacy Groups

  • Tracks guidelines and regulatory landscape in the region

  • Review of Investigator Initiated Studies


Education Minimum Requirement:



  • Advanced degree: MD, PharmD or PhD

  • Minimum five years of experience at a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company in Oncology, working in headquarters medical affairs leading cross functional matrix teams.

  • Track record of successful launches in Oncology in different geographies.

  • Experience and confidence in working with diverse teams and functions.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively collaborate with and influence partners within and across divisions.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with others and to resolve conflicts.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.


Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Experience with Lung Cancer and/or immuno-oncology
