Global IT Security Engineer

Your Profile

• University degree in IT or a related field (master’s an advantage); alternatively a computer scientist or system engineer with relevant IT security training


• At least five years’ professional experience as a security manager


• Sound knowledge of how to operate an international IT infrastructure for a manufacturing company, spread across multiple data centers (servers, networks, firewalls, SD-WAN and cloud)


• A team player with very good communication skills in German and English who feels at home in a global team

Your Responsibilities
Sensirion is a global player in the field of sensor technology. In an international and interdisciplinary environment, you’ll ensure that our networks, systems, data and users are protected from constant cybersecurity threats. Your future supervisor, Andreas (Team Leader, Global IT Infrastructure Services), explains what you can expect from your day-to-day work below.

What are the specific tasks?
You will develop our information and cybersecurity strategies in close collaboration with top managers. You will be responsible for implementing these strategies, working on preventative measures, monitoring security information, and identifying and resolving vulnerabilities and threats. You will further develop and operate the information security management system.

What are the daily challenges?
You can expect an interesting working environment where you’ll be required to collaborate with an IT team located all around the world to ensure that our IT security requirements are implemented. You must be able to work independently and have an in-depth understanding of complex interrelationships. Involvement in the maintenance and operation of the global data center infrastructure (including on-call duty) is part of your varied day-to-day work.
