Proposition Sales Specialist for Pricing and Reference Services (PRS)


Proposition Sales Specialists are responsible for executing Refinitiv`s strategy for growth and market differentiation. They work with and provide market insight to our Product Management, Market Development and Account Management teams to support execution of this strategy. The role of the PRS Proposition Sales Specialist within the Investment & Advisory Proposition Sales Specialist Team of Germany and Switzerland will focus on Data Feed solutions primarily into Financial Institution`s Middle and Back Office operations.


The PRS Proposition Sales Specialist will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term sustainable growth of Refinitiv’s footprint in this area through and understanding of market and competitive dynamics and will detail and drive Sales execution in Switzerland. The role will require the successful candidate strong direction setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results. The PRS Proposition elements include:



  • Intraday, End of Day & Time Series Pricing Data (all asset classes)

  • Evaluated Pricing for illiquid Securities

  • Corporate Action Data

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Legal Entity Data

  • Regulatory Solutions


Role Responsibilities and expected Competencies:


As Proposition Sales Specialist you are the resident expert at Refinitiv with regards to your Proposition and need to be able to:



  • Provide in-depth customer and market insights, needs and pain points, to identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process

  • Execute through strong collaborative relationships across matrixed functions, including Product, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management and external partners

  • Provide input to the creation and development of comprehensive business cases based on growth opportunities and ensuring alignment with Refinitiv`s overall strategic direction.

  • Monitor all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and develop strategies to achieve competitive advantage

  • Drive thought leadership agenda as the internal and external spokesperson for your proposition, supporting community building

  • Strong business acumen and commercial strategy skills

  • Able to influence individuals as well as groups in meetings

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a high performance environment

  • Fluent in English and German
