As Software Engineer at the location St. Gallen you will join the Development Department in our global Technology Division as soon as possible. We provide new technologies, process knowhow and equipment to all production sites of the Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems.

• You develop new applications and software for inspection systems and manufacturing equipment on basis of the results from pre-development studies together with your colleagues in an agile team


• You support the development of new processes, process layouts and corresponding equipment with your knowledge, especially in the field of optical inspection and measurement


• You secure innovations through patent applications


• You design, program, execute and document tests scenarios and validation scenarios for new applications and software


• You qualify and validate new applications and software in cooperation with internal experts. You support process engineers in performing equipment acceptance tests, equipment qualification and process validation


• You train production technicians and operators on the new software and ensure the transfer of necessary knowhow to lifecycle management and production sites


• You assist the Life-Cycle Management in resolving support requests in coordination with the supervisor

• Degree in software engineering or equivalent education


• 5+ years of professional experience in the development of software for manufacturing equipment


• Basic knowledge in inspection, machine learning and machine control


• Experience with C# .net, OOP, Dependency Injection, UML, Continuous Integration & Delivery, Unit Testing


• Structured way of working, conceptual and interdisciplinary thinking


• Good command of German and English language


• Knowledge in the application of agile methods and systematic problem solving (SixSigma) of advantage


• Knowledge in GMP documentation of advantage
