Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.


 


Task Description

Your tasks will include to:



  • Lead team meetings (frenquently) with team members to review the status of project tasks and discuss changes and escalations.

  • Attend the weekly TIER 2 meetings to escalate issues to the direct manager.

  • Report to the direct manager all the important information related to the projects progress or to any unforeseen issues.

  • Acts as a facilitator and provides training and mentorship to other professional employees.

  • Manage, Lead and unite global Engineering teams comprised of Development Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Business representatives simultaneously toward a common objective

  • Ensure the project is “staffed for success” and escalate with management to negotiate any constraints

  • Owns the project schedule and team effort to create the P&L and CPP

  • Identify potential risk factors that can affect projects schedule and investments and provide potential mitigation plans to resolve prior to becoming issues with real impacts

  • Ensure hand over to manufacture is robust and repeatable

  • Obtain capital expenditure approvals

  • Document meeting minutes and action logs associated with customer meetings.

  • Clear and concise communication with internal customers and management to present awareness

  • Ensure the team is following proper processes and understand the project(s) objectives to maintain focus

  • Ensure the respect of TEP rules for project managment (e.g: procedures, forms, Gates, update the changes on the projects, etc.)

  • Ensure to pass the internal gates with the appropriate checklits.

  • Follow the trainings required by TE (e.g: ECE, etc.).


What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering is Required - Master's Degree or higher preferred    

  • Minimum of 2 years of Project Management or related experience

  • Proficiency with MS project                                                                                       

  • Proficient Communication and Presentation skills                                                                                          

  • Understanding of business case financials

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Leading Change Agent

  • Fluency in English, French would be highly appreciated
