Job specification
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure structural integrity
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Provide clear and concise technical support to clients seeking technical assistance
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem escalations and resolutions
Required profile
• Diploma/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with at least 5 years of experience
• Fluent in German and English
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g. Tomcat, Apache)
• Proficiency with monitoring systems (e.g. SCOM / Logicmonitor, Splunk)
• Solid Unix / Linux knowledge
• Cloud experience and Oracle DB is an advantage
• Motivated, reliable, flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities
• Ability to work in a high pressured environment
• Professional, client and team oriented with a positive work ethic
• Ability to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users
