Job Overview

Steinach is both a manufacturing site affiliated to the Automotive Division and the headquarters of the main distribution organization of our EMEA business.


In our Financial Shared Services department in Steinach we are looking for a motivated and forward-looking employee. Here you can expect an exciting and varied activity in a successful international company.
 


 


Responsibilities will include:


 



  • Direct and oversee day to day activities for general ledger accounting activities including preparation and posting of journal entries

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to US GAAP 

  • Preparation of annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP 

  • Preparation of Account reconciliations ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial results

  • Preparation of Direct Tax return and accounting for the Swiss entity

  • Manage a team of two to three accounting team members including staff selection, performance evaluation and development to ensure the right competencies to reach the objectives 

  • Contact person for internal and external auditors

  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures and related documentation to ensure compliance with SOX requirements

  • Collaboration with other Shared Services organizations 

  • Active participation on continuous improvement initiatives on accounting process and FCF reporting and analysis 


What your background should look like:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, certification in accounting is a plus

  • Experience in a broad-based manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Several years of increasing accounting-related experience 

  • Fluent in German and English 

  • Experience with/knowledge of SAP is preferred

  • Good knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage

  • Hands-on personality; good analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
