165. This is the number of development projects in our industry leading pipeline. Are you passionate about drug development and interested in becoming a part of the Biologics Technical Research and Development team to make our medicine work?
As our Finance Head Technical Research & Development Biologics and Devices, execute the financial strategy across the Biologics, Cell & Gene, Biosimilars (Bx) and Device Development (DDC); provide expert financial counsel on their strategy and key topics such as resource allocation, footprint and investment decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead, manage and coordinate the financial planning and controlling processes of Bx and DDC, in close collaboration with the respective Business Leaders and the Global Head Finance of Technical Research & Development
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability, aligning short and long-term objectives
• Ensure that financial targets are met, data is reliable and that appropriate internal controls are in place
• Drive effective stakeholder management with internal customers and suppliers
• Lead the finance change process for the Bx and DDC evolution
• Be an ‘unbossed’ role model for the team of 11 talents including coaching for performance, training and development planning
• As a core member of the Global Bx Leadership Team and the TRD Finance Leadership Team, provide business counsel; serve as a business challenger and consultant
Minimum requirements
• University degree in economics, Finance, or Business or Engineering plus an MBA, CPA preferred
• English fluent, German or other language is a plus
• Experience of at least 15 years in finance business partner position including global pharmaceutical production/development environment, accounting expertise required
• Thought leadership experience in volatile environment required; Biotech experience preferred with experience and desire to work in a matrix (multinational organization)
• Experience in designing and operating financial reporting and forecasting systems and excellent analytical ability and digital savvy
• Must be able to demonstrate a high attention to detail with an ability to independently prioritize and organize work assignments. Additionally, strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills and ability to clearly present financial data to senior stakeholder
• Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, with sound business understanding and effective communication and influencing skills
