Senior Manager IT Operations


 


Your Mission:


 


• Accountable for the IT operations in Galderma
• Responsible for the effective and efficient operational support of all externally and internally managed IT infrastructure services used to support all business processes across Galderma
• Responsible for operational service management to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved
• Contributes to the development and execution of the IOS (Infrastructure, Operations & Services) strategy, and ensures its alignment with the Galderma IT strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success


 


Your main tasks:


 


• Provides oversight for the operations and support of IT systems that fulfill the needs of the business, and provides inputs to the Senior Director IOS as well as to peers and direct reports responsible for other aspects of IOS
• Manages the relationships with external providers in charge of Galderma IT operations (managed services and contractors) and their respective deliveries: compliance with SLAs, seamless integration with internal operations and BCP/DRP, continuous improvement
• Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques
• Leads the development of the operations aspects of the IOS strategy and roadmap, and ensures its integration with the broader IT and Galderma strategic plans
• Works with BRMs (Business Relationship Managers) to ensure good coordination of IT changes without impacting business processes
• Builds and maintains relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities
• Develops and controls the IT operations annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IOS and manages expenses to stay within plan
• Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IT operations environment
• Maintains currency on new technologies and service management practices, and provides direction on what emerging IT operations technologies and methods could/should be introduced, integrated and assimilated within IOS
• Supports the IOS sourcing strategy, and provides oversight for vendor and partner relationship management
• Works with the IOS leadership team to forecast future skill needs to acquire and develop an IOS workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies. Works toward a balance between growing the agility required to achieve digital business objectives and ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable and efficient


 


Your profile:


 


• Master degree in computer science or equivalent
• ITIL certifications
• Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) would be a plus
• 10 years minimum of professional experience in IT
• 5 years minimum of progressive leadership responsibilities
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, across the organization and within complex contexts
• Effective management of external IT providers / outsourcing partners (notably for managed services)
• Establishing standard processes and managing the performance to achieve key metrics
• Leading IT operations teams in complex and dynamic environments requiring 24/7 support
• Budget planning and financial management
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates IT operations staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills
• Excellent service management planning and execution skills
• Strong IT operations acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and preferably earlier career experience in an individual contributor role in IT operations
• Success in leveraging both traditional practices, such as IT service management, as well as emerging methods, such as DevOps, that are optimized for agility
• Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage outsourced managed services, and/or resources internal and external to Galderma to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to senior leaders, and business concepts to the IT Operations workforce
• Establishes and expands external provider/partner relationships
• Partners with other IT leaders to identify opportunities for significant technology/process enhancements
