Traco Power Solutions are developing power supplies for Industrial, IT, Household, Medical, Electro-mobility
and Solar Applications in Wexford/ Ireland and our manufacturing facilities are in China and Taiwan.
We want to strengthen our team with a Power Supply / Power Electronics Expert, who will be able to design a
power supply by selecting the appropriate converter topology, establish and verify the circuit diagram by
simulation and prototyping. The successful candidate will need to effectively trouble shoot and debug his designs
and support and lead layout, construction and test engineers during the qualification of the related products. The
successful candidate will take on the mentoring of some engineers, contribute to peer design reviews and product
roadmaps.

Senior Expert in Power Supply Design/Lead Engineer

Education and Experience

• Diploma, Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering


• Theoretical understanding of common converter topologies


• In depth knowledge and understanding of analogue power electronic circuits and magnetic circuits


• Expert in design and development as a principal designer of AC/DC or DC/DC Converters


• Experience as leading project engineer or as leader of a small development team

Responsibility

• Design and development of power supply circuits from ten watts up to kilowatts


• Design and construction of high frequency transformers and inductors


• Trouble shooting of analogue and digital circuits


• Establishing basic power electronic circuits and evaluate them


• Verification by electronic simulation


• Perform eFMEA


• Lead a team of engineers and manage development projects


• Establish price evaluations and calculations


• Preparation of feasibility studies
