Technical Author – Aircraft Maintenance Manuals

Our Technical Publications Authoring department has an immediate opening for a Technical Author with emphasis on the production of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and associated documentation.

What you do:

• The production of descriptive, operation and procedural Data Modules and page blocks to ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications from engineering reports, drawings and general aircraft related documentation for all Pilatus technical aircraft publications (AMM, SB and CMM)


• Peer editing of corresponding maintenance and aircrew tasks


• Maintenance of corresponding task tracking processes


• Liaison with the illustration facility for the production of associated graphics support

What you bring:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a technical author writing aircraft technical documentation to the ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications


• Formal training in either Aeronautical electrical or mechanical apprenticeship


• Experienced in the use of ASD Simplified Technical English, SGML/XML, Structured Adobe FrameMaker and Arbortext Editor within a Common Source Data Base (CSDB) environment


• Good sound knowledge of engineering drawing systems and general aircraft related documentation


• English minimum C1 level
