For our client, a global pharmaceutical company based in the greater Lucerne area we are accepting applications from highly qualified individuals for the position of Procurement Associate
Your Challenges
Manages the contractual relationships with vendors. Source and select new vendors, potentially through a formal bidding process or RFP.
Negotiates pricing and terms for services, materials, equipment and/or supplies from vendors.
Monitors vendor compliance to service level agreements and other contractual terms. Conducts supplier and supply market analysis.
The Senior Specialist is responsible for strategic sourcing of indirect categories in the Mid Europe (MER) region (approx.30 countries) while acting as a strategic business partner across the sub-cluster Alps (Switzerland/Austria). He/she leads the necessary changes to ensure a value chain view and support global leverage in alignment with business stakeholders and Global Procurement team.
Your Skills
University or College degree preferably in economical or business area. MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
7 to 10 years’ experience in strategic category sourcing and in complex, regulated, international and cross functional environment.
Well experienced (3-5 years) in sourcing projects and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of Procurement related business processes (strategic category management methodology).
Project planning and project management skills are required.
Strong customer-focus and solution-orientation; used to manage multiple projects with changing priorities to full customer satisfaction.
SAP, MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Fluency/full professional proficiency in English (oral/written) is a prerequisite; German is highly preferred
