Our Graduate Programme, which comes with a permanent contract, includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring each individual's specific skillset, as well as furthering their development and setting specific objectives.
As a member of our Graduate Programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals. Your training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to the area of business of your assignment (in this case CAPM/PMP, CBPA or BPMP, for example).
Our programme will enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills required in your future career as well as giving you the opportunity to build a network of peers in the company both at our Geneva head office and abroad.
Your role
The COO Office provides support for the operational activities of Pictet Wealth Management (PWM), delivering project management, process re-engineering and change management capabilities in Switzerland and abroad.
The programme lasts 24 months and will allow you to rotate in all three of the team’s areas of expertise. During your first 18 months you will lead a project aimed at (i) defining the key procedures needed to operate a bank branch in the European Union, (ii) pilot procedure alignment across all PWM European locations and (iii) suggesting areas where improvements can be made. For this assignment you will work closely with local branch COOs (and/or their deputies) as well as with internal experts. Then, for the last six months of the programme you will work in a “change initiative” relating to the roll-out of a new application for bankers and/or a major project assigned to the team. You will work with experienced change and/or project managers to define the appropriate strategy, roll out the plan decided on and assess the results of the initiative. These assignments will expose you to a broad range of topics and local specificities as well as enabling you to work with numerous professionals.
As part of the assignments you will be expected to travel in Europe and also work frequently via video-conference.
HR will offer regular feedback to enable you to make solid progress and come through the programme successfully. You will also attend in-house workshops that provide an understanding of the complex, competitive and constantly changing environment of the private banking world.
At the end of the programme you will have the requisite skills to become a project manager and/or process expert and work on tasks assigned to our team.
