Your Mission:



  • Partners with members of the TechOps management team involved in the manufacturing operation management regarding Manufacturing IT strategy, demand, and delivery, being co-responsible with them for business outcomes driven by IT solution.

  • Lead the local IT manager organizations at the 11 manufacturing sites around the globe by defining clear roadmaps aligned with both global and local stakeholders. 

  • Enable communication to flow between the various IT teams and business organization through a structured governance.


Responsibilities and duties:



  • Lead, manage and develop the assigned function ensuring quality delivery of all People Processes, including talent acquisition, performance and talent management processes, resulting in a highly engaged, motivated and high performing team adding value to the business (dotted line organisation). Build organizational assigned function capabilities now and for the future, at a Global and local Manufacturing site level to build a strong IT community across the Globe, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources. Hold People Managers accountable for delivering quality People Processes and provide support where required. Foster and demonstrate collaboration across the business and within the IT Function.

  • Develop, align and ensure implementation of the IT strategy of the Manufacturing function with their business strategy. Co-develop overall IT strategy in the context of the business strategy and initiatives of the assigned function.

  • Cultivate a close and trusted relationship with the respective TechOps Management member and their teams as well as between IT function and the assigned function. Is the pro-active point of contact for the business counterparts regarding top-level opportunities, challenges and projects

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to the applications organisation. Hold the application delivery and management team accountable for optimizing the cost, risk and value of applications throughout their life cycle as well as successful delivery against the defined targets and priorities.

  • Facilitate the application governance process to gain consensus on a prioritised set of measurable business outcomes that applications must support, and to take strategic decisions on the evolution of the application portfolio.

  • Define and enhance methodologies and practices for the application life cycle management, using best practice and striving for continuous improvement.

  • Application processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in compliance with applicable standards and legislation, technical and environmental policies, and corporate social responsibility.

  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.

  • Accountable for the annual operating expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets for the function to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within plan.

  • Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and is able to respond with the agility required to address changing business priorities


Required Experience & Competences:



  • Master's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years in IT and business industry

  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership responsibilities

  • Extensive application management

  • Minimum 10 years of business partnering experience

  • Organizational change management including experience of building relevant capabilities across the relevant function

  • First class influencing and stakeholders’ management skills

  • Demonstrated learning agility

  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into operation activities
