Recovery engineer (Core Member)


Description
Our student initiative is based at ETH Zürich (Hönggerberg) and inspires students across Switzerland
in hands-on space engineering challenges through collaboration with academia and industry.
ARIS goes into the 3rd round: Following project HEIDI, ARIS participates at the Spaceport America
Cup 2020 in New Mexico with its first supersonic rocket EULER. Flying to 30.000 ft and enduring
supersonic speeds for the first time, ARIS's third rocket EULER paves the way for flying a self-
developed hybrid rocket engine and sets another milestone towards carrying a student-built
hardware in orbit. For this, we need to boost our EULER team with recruiting a Recovery
Engineer.
As Recovery Engineer your main responsibility is to develop and test systems, monitor the
budget, write reports and communicate within and outside your team. Your tasks will include:



  • Developing component or complete systems

  • Monitoring the progress of development

  • Troubleshooting

  • Developing and writing test reports

  • Attending weekly meetings at the Hub

  • Working in a team or by yourself


Expectations
From each our team members we expect:



  • To spend 2-3 days a week on the project and be able to join team meetings and
    workshops in Zurich

  • Be proactive and able to take responsibility

  • Fail, get up and grow from it

  • Take responsibilities over your projects and tasks

Duration: Minimum 1 semester
Working hours: 15-20h/week or per project
