Field Application Engineer - Power Quality

Your tasks



  • Act as liaison between company and clients, providing technical expertise and support to customers and valuable market feedback data for future product development and releases

  • Answer technical product and application questions to our customers, sales force and internal/external partners

  • Offer technical support to customers and internal organizations for product applications including measurements, failure analysis and 8D reports

  • Cooperate with Engineering, R&D and Product management to determine effective technical solutions for customer applications and solving application specific issues that might arise in the field

  • Provide data driven feedbacks to the Product Development Teams to identify areas for product improvements

  • Provide regular feedbacks to Engineering, Product Management, Product Development and Marketing teams regarding applications, products performance, competition, new demands and potential features

  • Assist Sales Team in the representation of the company’s technology and products to customers as well as internal/external partners

  • Provide trainings as well as technical sessions


Your profile



  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical or electronic (field) applications engineering

  • Proven power quality or power electronics background

  • Ability to work in electrical applications with voltages up to 690VAC

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, adherence to deadlines and commitments

  • A positive attitude focused on listening, understanding, anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers, both internal and external to the organization

  • Self-starter that can work independently, make necessary decisions and follow through with action plans

  • Results-oriented team player with a “make it happen” attitude and drive for success

  • Demonstrated skill in communicating and presenting complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner in a multicultural work and customer environment

  • Ability to work in matrix organization and being able to motivate others and convince them with the right solution is a critical skill set

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 40%)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, German language skills will be a plus
