We are currently looking for a Global Leadership and Talent Program Lead to join the Global People Capability Development Team in Basel. As a member of the team you will play a key role in the future development of leaders and talents in Syngenta.


Role Purpose: 



  • Support the business objectives by designing and implementing a comprehensive suite of initiatives within the Syngenta Leadership and Talent Development Architecture that will enhance the leadership capabilities and accelerate the development of both leaders and talents



  • Lead the design and the delivery of management programs by ensuring the continuous improvements of contents with business and market trends, while ensuring a sustainable delivery model for the company



  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the assessment and development pathways for the talent population, engaging participants and their line managers, contributing in accelerating their readiness to take on a broader leadership role



  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive communication and engagement plan for the Leadership and Talent Development Architecture, in coordination with the internal communication team



  • Measure the results and impact (ROI) achieved by the leadership development and talent initiatives and present them to the business in a compelling way



  • Align leadership selection and talent nomination program contents with business strategy and priorities and critical business capabilities


Accountabilities: 

  • Identify organizational gaps in terms of leadership capabilities and individual gaps with regards to critical knowledge and skills



  • Connect with the business leaders and the HR community to strengthen the link between the development and talent programs and the business requirements and report progressions and value achieved



  • Manage external vendors, by creating annual contracts, negotiating the best commercial conditions in alignment with procurement and being accountable for the annual and overall budget



  • Design, build and run best practice learning and leadership development pathways and interventions, including design of the future leadership and talent development architecture



  • Identify global vendors and/or consultants through RFP processes



  • Provide strategic learning direction to our external partners and/or third parties to ensure the success of our learning and development interventions



  • Research best practices and ensure appropriate integration of the findings into Syngenta Learning interventions



  • Lead roll-out of learning and development programs with the regions and functions, connecting with COE leads, participants, line managers and HRBP’s



  • Ensure the high quality of our programs by means of a proactive control and permanent improvement of contents, learning experiences, exercises, materials, delivery, logistics and facilitation skills



  • Analyze the feedback received from clients and stakeholders and determine when changes are required to ensure continuous improvement



  • Control and accountability of the overall metrics (including learning effectiveness and cost effectiveness of each development program under his/her scope)



  • Set up and manage the infrastructure and processes required to deliver the programs under his/her scope successfully (including communication, brochures, guidelines , tools, information and systems)



  • Ensure quality and compliance of the nomination and selection processes



  • Act as an ambassador of the Syngenta values and brand establishing a productive and motivating work environment



  • Represent the company with external L&D providers and vendors

 

Qualifications

 
Qualifications: 

  • 5-10+ years in L&D and/or HR Function

  • Professional experience designing, managing and delivering people development programs gained in international corporations

  • Certifications as TTT or facilitator of training as part of the expected background

  • International L&D professional knowledge

  • Expert knowledge in adult education and -learning and people development

  • Expertise in design and delivery of a wide range of learning and development programs

  • Good understanding of the needs of the business

  • Experience with technology based learning activities

  • Strong background in managing organizational change and people change transitions

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree or specialist is a must
