PROJECT LEAD, ESG AND REPORTING INITIATIVE
(Position location: New York or Geneva, 1-year contract renewable) The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. 
Why We Are Recruiting To coincide with its 50th anniversary, the World Economic Forum (WEF) launched a new Davos Manifesto, a set of ethical principles to guide companies in the age of the Fourth industrial Revolution. These principles articulate the essence of stakeholder capitalism and reflect the ethos of the Forum since its founding. To measure stakeholder capitalism, the Forum in collaboration with the Big 4 accounting firms – Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC – release a proposal titled Toward Common Metrics and Consistent Reporting of Sustainable Value Creation. The proposal recommends a set of core metrics and recommended disclosures to be reflected in the mainstream annual reports of companies on a consistent basis across industry sectors and countries. The proposal is a consultation draft to be finalized August 2020. We seek an experienced project manager with relevant cross-industry experience to manage the consultation process and finalize the proposed ESG metrics and disclosures. 
Reporting lines and interactions The Project Lead will report to the Head of Shaping the Future of Investing Platform. This person will work closely with colleagues from the Big 4 to drive the different work streams. The consultation will engage several key external stakeholders at C-level with a primary focus on the Forum’s corporate partners and investor community. Internally, this person will interact and coordinate with the Forum’s Partner Engagement team, Strategic Partners team as well as with colleagues from other industries and platforms. 
Breakdown of Main Responsibilities • Lead, scope and develop the work of project work streams in collaboration with Big 4 partners• Oversee, monitor and orient all project workstreams; seamlessly manage and collaborate with external partners, manage stakeholder outreach, define workshop needs, manage the planning of workshops and related events, design/shape workshop content• Oversee process of collecting and synthesizing data; working with Big 4 to finalize metrics by pillar (principles of governance, planet, people, prosperity)• In strong collaboration with the project team, manage different stakeholders engaged with the project• Ensure continuous collaboration with the team on event management and coordination as well as all other activities related to the project 
The successful candidate will be assessed on • Ability to develop and implement project specific deliverables (e.g. consultations with corporates and investors, executive presentation, final report)• Delivery of agreed targets• Seamless management and coordination of the different work-streams in order to have a consistent approach across the 4 pillars 
Preferred Requirements and Experience • 7-10 years of work experience in consulting, professional services; project management in a global company or international organization• Master’s degree in international relations, business administration or related field or equivalent project management accreditation• Capacity to apply critical thinking, consult broadly, develop strategies, work collaboratively in a team and manage both long- and short-term objectives• Flexible, committed, mature team player and self-starter who enjoys and has a successful track record working in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment, and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines• Professional demeanour and ability to liaise with senior business leaders and leading issue experts in academia, international organizations, governments and non-governmental organizations• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and experience working across a range of digital platforms and tools; experience working with Salesforce• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, fluency in spoken and written English• Passionate and committed, with a demonstrated interest in Environmental, Social and Governance issues as they pertain to the investment process• Willingness to travel
