Join our Quality department as International Welding Engineer - IWE in Geneva, Switzerland.
Your responsibilities
Lead Traction Transformer tanks product qualification (First Article Inspection process) and steelwork supplier qualification and performance follow-up
Ensure ABB Geneva welding coordination as per EN15085 requirements
Approve welding drawings in accordance with EN15085 standards and prepare welding documents (WPS, welding plan, inspection plan and forms, etc.)
Act as a process owner for welding and brazing processes (shared responsibility with current IWE) by establishing / maintaining requirements, ensuring procedures are enforced in our workshop
Ensure that ABB's design and production processes allow the necessary certifications in the field of rail welding (ISO 3834 and EN 15085)
Defend ABB's interests in front of customers in the field of welding
Analyze deviations from process objectives and their cause, perform systematic cause search via 8D methodology and implementation and monitor related action plans
Contribute to the execution of internal audits, customer audits & ISO TS 22163
Your background
Master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or equivalent
IWE certificate and at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of welding for the railway sector
Fluency in English and German, spoken and written; French is a big advantage
