You will be a part the PSE Imaging Solutions team responsible for third level support of imaging components on the latest generation of Varian’s linear accelerators. The PSE Imaging Solutions team are highly skilled engineers conducting technical investigations, supporting the Field Service representatives, authoring service documentation and providing feedback to the R&D organization.


Specific Responsibilities



  • Drive technical investigations for complaints initiated by our customers. This includes diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex systems

  • Respond to situations where first level and second level field service support was not able to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software

  • Author technical documentation for the Field Service organization

  • Support the Installation- and Service teams during new product rollouts

  • Report design, reliability and maintenance discrepancies to engineering teams


 


Desired Qualifications



  • BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or equivalent

  • High level of analytical skills, able to disseminate complex problems to find the root cause

  • Fluency in English language, written and verbal

  • Auto didactic skills to quickly familiarize with new areas

  • Experience with medical imaging

  • Reliable, tenacious, team-oriented


 


Following qualifications are an asset



  • Previous exposure to medical physics

  • Experience in a support role

  • German language skills

In addition, you can express your ideas and research in written form. You are used to working independently, but open to discussing ideas and solutions with your colleagues. You thrive in an international work environment and in cultivating your contacts with partners in Europe and overseas.
