As a member of the FlightOperations Team you work in close cooperation with the Director of Flight Operations. You take ownership for your tasks and are able to work independently.


You will be collaborating closely with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that crew-members are properly and effectively scheduled to perform their duties in line with the required flight and training requirements.

Description/Tasks:

  • As a Crew Planning Specialist, develop, implement and lead the Fatigue Risk Management System (in accordance with EASA regulatory requirements), in collaboration with the DFO

  • Define minimum crew resources per aircraft, in coordination with the Director Flight Operations (DFO), to fulfillEASA regulatory as well asClient’s requirements

  • Build yearly, monthly and weekly crew schedulesrespecting EASA and OM-A (Chapter 7) duty regulations

  • Track and record actual crew activitiesand generate Occurrence & Safety reports in case of non-compliance or exceedance (according EASA requirements)

  • Manage last minute roster changes

  • Support the Dispatch and Charter Sales Teams on flight scheduling activities

  • Coordinating crew positioning, accommodation and transportation, in seamless cooperation with Travel Desk

  • Monitoring of crew reports and follow-up actions related to crew planning, supporting the Compliance & Safety Department

  • Coordinate long term planning with the Recruitment, Training and Maintenance Departments

  • Support the various audit and safety management processesto comply with EASA as well as other civil aviation authority requirements

  • Support other Flight Operations activities as well as special projects on demand

Qualification/Experience:

  • Commercial Apprenticeship / Bachelor`s degree or equivalent preferred

  • Experience in civil aviation environment,to qualify as Specialist

  • Experience in civil aviation crew planning and/or crew control is important

  • Experience in aircraft dispatch and/or aircraft related operations is of advantageto support the Specialist level

  • Fluent in English,as well as additional foreign languages are of advantage(German language is preferred)

  • Computer literate (MS Office)

  • Any additional Microsoft or other professional IT background is of advantage

  • Willingness to adapt and react to quickly changing operational environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Results driven – able to execute with high personal accountability

  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, have initiative and be creative

  • Excellent team spirit with ability to work independently
