We Offer

 

  • A challenging role in a dynamic and evolving environment, reporting into General Counsel and located in Zurich (or Luxembourg) with a focus on non-standard (mainly corporate but also share backed) lending and financing transactions booked mainly in our European hub in Luxembourg, and documented under different laws (e.g. English, French, Italian, Austrian, or Luxembourg law)

  • The opportunity to work closely with Credit Suisse’s Front Offices and Credit Risk Professionals responsible for the business with Corporates, Institutional Clients and UHNWI clients

  • You will be actively providing legal advice in relation to complex lending and financing transactions as well as related asset and risk transfer transactions, restructuring and recovery work

  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing loan and security agreements relevant for the above mentioned areas (mainly LMA standard) and implementation of regulatory and legal changes into the relevant legal framework

  • Instruction of and collaboration with law firms as well as assessment of legal opinions

  • Close collaboration within the general counsel division and with business on a global level


You Offer

 

  • A Master degree in Law and bar admission, ideally in UK, or at least with a postgraduate qualification from a UK law school (e.g. LL.M.)

  • Post-bar professional experience (ideally as lending/financing lawyer in a business law firm or in the financial services industry) for at least 5 years

  • Strong analytical and drafting abilities as well as the skill to find creative solutions to complex and challenging problems

  • You are open, flexible and collaborative. You show perseverance and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a transactional environment

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are ambitious, organized and detailed oriented

  • Fluency in English; German proficiency is highly desired; other languages (particularly, French or Italian) would be an asset
