Position Summary


The Associate Director Medical Affairs Launch Excellence (ADMALE) provides support to the country medical teams for them to execute first class medical affairs activities for launch of new products in the relevant markets. Additionally, he/she assembles reports on the progress of medical affairs activities and on insights achieved through Medical Affairs activities.


The ADMALE will report directly to the Senior Medical Director Launch Excellence International/Japan.


 


Principal Responsibilities


Internal Readiness


In collaboration with the Global Medical Affairs Leads, Commercial Launch Lead & Country Medical Affairs



  • Ensure that all relevant Medical Field teams receive all necessaryTraining,Materials (like Slide sets, FAQs), Strategic direction

  • Provide countries with guidance regarding required Medical Affairs tactics

  • Create relevant reports with launch progress to update Medical Affairs & Commercial Leadership


Medical Intelligence


Ensure that valuable feedback from the field to be shared with internal stakeholders (incl. competitive intelligence)


KOLs Engagement


Drive the identification of National and Supra-national (Regional) Key Opinion Leaders


Provide Countries with KPIs for Launch Readiness


Scientific Communication


Identify and address relevant educational gaps and relay those to Global and Country Medical Affairs


Medical Information


Ensure that countries’ medical information needs are met (e.g. through FAQs)


Compliance


Stay current of local laws and guidelines, codes of practices and Alexion policies relevant to Medical Affairs activity


 


Qualifications


Minimum 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industry either in a Medical, Clinical, or commercial role


Previous experience in rare diseases is a definite plus


Proven capacity to:



  • communicate clearly complex scientific data, in different settings (F2F and public presentations) and to different audiences

  • establish and develop internal and external networks

  • plan and manage complex projects

  • work independently and proactively
