Senior System Engineer

The Auto-Identification team is a divisional Competence Center. It provides a maintained portfolio of standardized and validated auto identification devices (HW & SW) enabling each sample, reagent and disposable in any of DIA instruments and solutions to be identified securely, reliably, and consistently. Our consulting services and devices allow for fast integration and maintenance of auto-identification functionality in DIA instruments

As a Senior System Engineer in the Auto-Identification team you will lead the consolidation of the different qualification processes of tubes and racks that can be used by IVD instruments in a connected and automated laboratory set-up.

Main Tasks

• Build cross-business relationships and act as the Subject Matter Expert for Tubes and Racks


• Maintain a list of qualified tubes, caps and racks with the compatibility to Roche Diagnostics instruments


• Maintain a set of relevant parameters that qualify tubes, caps and racks


• Share knowledge across systems related to qualified tubes and methods


• Align with the tube and rack specialists in the different Business Areas on the test methods, relevant parameters, naming convention and databases inter-operability


• Keep abreast of technology trends and market evolution, maintain technical communication with tube suppliers


• Support Roche Healthcare Consulting for tubes and racks information requests


• Support development teams on topics related to tubes and racks


• Support Service and sales teams on topics related to tubes and racks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Micro Engineering or related field


• 3+ years of professional experience in developing or testing IVD instruments


• Analytical and structured approach, solution mindset


• Ability to resolve conflict, to lead by influence and be comfortable in a global matrix environment


• Experience working within a regulated production development environment, utilizing engineering best practices, including defect tracking, design reviews, and appropriate testing


• Ability to do self-directed activities and work with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment


• Good communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills


• Fluent English, German (written and spoken)


• Ideally, you already have experience working for Roche
