Your responsibilities

  • Quickly exploring big problems and their economic / scientific value around autonomous systems in industry, infrastructure, and transportation and proposing radical solutions to them

  • Applying and developing new technologies, and rapidly putting together representative proof-of-concept models for demonstrating the solution in a lab environment.

  • Bridging the organizational gaps for transferring radical ideas into established businesses by open collaboration and communication

  • Taking responsibility and driving activities forward (or to an end / abort), working in highly capable teams with highly diverse skills and backgrounds.

  • Promote the successful solutions in demonstrations to stakeholders, scientific and industrial conferences, after you have created a solid patent portfolio around the developed technologies


Your background



  • Proven track record in innovation in R&D or industrial research in areas such as:

  • Machine learning in industrial applications, AIgorithms or advanced control and optimization, Robotics and its industrial applications, Supporting software technologies, e.g. data science, or user interaction design

  • Ability to identify, structure and evaluate industrial innovation challenges in the area of production, infrastructure and transportation, strong problem orientation

  • Creativity to generate ideas and solutions going well beyond existing approaches.

  • Ability to scrutinize own approaches and openly provide and handle feedback and failure, excellent risk-taking nature to leave known paths and dare new things

  • Excellent self-learning capabilities to foster life-long learning in various fields and creating the ability to quickly address new fields and problems.

  • Courage to think with your hands, creating tangible results quickly to mock the addressed problem.

  • Above average communication skills to thrive in an international environment and company.
