Your role: We are looking for a new team member in the Product Development Team to strengthen the evaluation of medical and health economics benefits of our products in digital medicine and connected healthcare. In this role you wil: 

• Liaise with our internal stakeholders from drug development, clinical trials, medical affairs, market access to better understand the unmet needs from patients, nurses and physicians


• Evaluate opportunities for applying novel solutions and technologies on dedicated projects within our organization and support our business team in promoting these ideas internally (in the field of novel adherence tracking solutions, patient engagements applications, use of digital solutions to build digital biomarkers and other solutions in digital medicine)


• Evaluate how the products could evolve and be evaluated in appropriate medical/clinical evaluations to increase medical benefits and impact the health economics


• Conduct product development activities involving external partners, with a focus on demonstrating the medical benefits of developed solutions through clinical evaluations conducted in partnership with internal stakeholders


• Ensure the proper execution of the product development steps in terms of timeline, budget and scope until use in clinical phases or market launch


• Report internally the progresses of the product development activities to the Core Team and to the Management teams of CHD and other Merck units.

Who you are:

• Master of Science or PhD in Medicine / Life Sciences (biology and biosciences, medicine, pharmaceutical engineering, …) or similar education is expected


• Prior experience working together with health environment personnel (hospitals, clinics, …) or in clinical trials setup (Clinical Research Organizations, Clinical Trial lead teams, …) is a key asset


• Prior experience (min. 5 years) in leading the demonstration of medical benefits of products being developed in the field of medical devices and demonstrating the medical benefits of digital health solutions is a key asset


• Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence as well as ability to navigate into complex organization and create networks is a key asset


• Strong experience with evaluating opportunities and solutions, support the building value propositions, selecting and managing external development partners, driving decision and integrating diverse groups of internal and external international stakeholders is welcome


• Broad knowledge on innovation management and collaboration methods is welcome


• Business fluent English
