About the position


You'll be part of the Data Analytics team and focus on Business Intelligence. The team is closely aligned with the business teams and responsible for the key applications to monitor and analyze Partners Group’s investment programs. It takes care of the development, customization and on-going enhancement of these applications to best support the global business operations of Partners Group. It owns the Business Intelligence platform and processes, and advises the whole organization on Business Intelligence topics as a Center of Excellence.


 


Responsibilities 



  • Collect, define and prioritize business requirements for data analysis and visualization, with the aim to steer business decisions and improve operational efficiency

  • Design and build new Business Intelligence applications, in close collaboration with the business teams

  • Lead the migration of legacy Business Intelligence applications to Qlik Sense

  • Drive the implementation of controls to test data quality and ensure full consistency with other systems and databases

  • Support on platform administration tasks, such as on-boarding of new users, server monitoring, platform upgrades and new functionality (e.g. expansion of the Python library)

  • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses to serve the business needs


What we expect


Required Qualification



  • Experience in quantitative analysis and software development

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL / Relational Database and data visualization software

  • Understanding of the ETL (extract, transform, load) framework

  • Ability to translate functional business requirements into complex technical solutions

  • Proven ability to be strategic, creative, and interested in leveraging technology to solve financial/quantitative business problems, aware of time to market constraints

  • Strong interpersonal skills which lend themselves to a team-oriented approach


 


Preferred Qualification



  • Previous experience in a Business Intelligence capacity

  • Solid knowledge of Qlik Sense, Python and/or SQL Server technologies

  • Understanding of statistical modelling, algorithms, data mining and machine learning

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and building software solutions and integration with existing systems

  • Ability to read a balance sheet and understanding of key financial metrics such as EBITDA Margin, Net Asset Value, Internal Rate of Return, Total Value Paid In

  • Experience working within a collaborative software engineering setup, using methodologies such as: agile development / SCRUM, continuous integration, code review or pairing, unit testing, refactoring and related approaches
