Job Overview

Reporting to the Sr. HR Solutions Manager, this person will supervise the activities of a small team of Payroll employees. He/she will implement and contribute to policy/procedures and administer the preparation, documentation and disbursement of paychecks, taxes, and benefit payments. Delivers and improves Payroll processes and programs through continuous improvement and evaluation efforts, technology solutions and centralized shared services.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees the accurate and timely processing of payroll.

  • Resolves individual and system-wide payroll issues.

  • Ensures quality customer service to employees and departments.

  • Reviews audits and ensures accuracy and data integrity.

  • Evaluates payroll procedures and systems, recommends improvements.

  • Ensures financial compliance with TE policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations.

  • Supports the integration of mergers and acquisition for payroll.

  • Keeps abreast of all Payroll regulatory related issues to ensure compliance.

  • Ensures adherence to budgetary guidelines and continuous improvement of Payroll programs and practices.

  • Provides effective and efficient Payroll services and support within established budgets, principles and regulations, laws and employment standards.

  • Responsibility as Key User for the Time & Attendance system and its interfaces.

  • Supervises, motivates, assesses performance and develops a small team of Payroll employees.


Qualifications & Skills

Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); advanced degree preferred.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).


Qualifications:



  • Fluent in English and German (French, Italian is a Plus)

  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization 

  • Customer Service mindset; Drive for Results

  • Autonomous; Self-confident and able a high level of multi- tasking


Experience:



  • Typically requires 3+ years of progressive Payroll experience as Payroll Clerk / Analyst.

  • Prior supervisory experience may be required

  • Knowledge of Payroll laws

  • Experience in Payroll disciplines, including data management, metrics and measurement and operations

  • Experience with tax systems and reporting preferred

  • Experience with time and attendance systems preferred

  • Prior experience in an international environment preferred
