ETH Sustainability is the central hub for coordinating sustainability at ETH Zurich. One of the key projects is the «ETH Week» - an innovative teaching format designed to foster critical thinking and creativity. Together with experts from academia and representatives from industry and society, about 150 students from 30 different countries and all ETH departments discuss, frame, and solve problems of their own choosing. This year they will tackle real-world challenges surrounding the topic of Health and Wellbeing. Are you enthusiastic, dedicated and have a keen eye for aesthetics? Then we are searching for YOU to support our team as ETH Week Project Coordinator as soon as possible!
The successful candidate supports the Project Leader of the ETH Week in the content and organizational planning, implementation and success analysis of the ETH week as well as its follow up program “the Hatchery”. In consultation with the steering board, the project management and internal / external partners of the ETH Week, he/she takes responsibility for individual project modules and independently develops their milestones. These modules include:
In line with the changing workload throughout the year, the Project Coordinator will also support other projects within the ETH Sustainability team.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who is committed to the goals of sustainability. Excellent communication skills and a high degree of self-organization are essential for this position. The successful candidate also requires a proven record in using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop or any comparable graphic design programmes. Personal experiences with ETH Week (as participant/tutor/facilitator) are a clear advantage for this position. A higher graduate degree (Master) in any relevant field of sustainability and/or practical experience with innovation processes and design thinking methods are clear advantages. Business level fluency in English and sound German language skills are a prerequisite. Working experience at ETH Zurich and a profound understanding of ETH’s organizational mindset are welcome assets.
