JOB PURPOSE


The Warehouse Manager is responsible for Warehouse operations for the Singapore site activities, People Management, Global Logistics related operations, Third Party Warehouse Management, Freight Forwarders Management, Cold-Chain Management and continuous improvement project, which including inbound operations, site support operations, outbound operations, and  coordination with local vendors to align with commercialize site strategy, global logistics initiative and support new products launch in Singapore.


  


The incumbent MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Manufacturing Excellence – Commercialize Business Model



  • Lead and manage the warehouse team to ensure site logistics operations are delivered according to site objectives. E.g. site KPI

  • Manage the deployment of logistics resources across sites in South and West campuses to achieve the most productive business model in Singapore

  • Manage and resolve the site logistics challenges in the most appropriate manner to position logistics operations for future new development expansion and scalable manufacturing model

  • Oversight the Third Party Warehousing activities to ensure 3rd party is well positioned to support our requirements and ensure business continuity 

  • Coordinate and work with site cross-functional areas, region global logistics, compliance team, project team and 3PL for any new project, value stream team and continuous improvement initiatives to meet the commercialize business model in an executable logistics environment as well as high standard of compliance and lean model

  • Lead and manage the 3PL/Freight Forwarders to meet logistics performance KPI’s and review the investigation report to ensure CAPA is implementable

  • Review and approve the site Data3/SAP system documentation, IOQ, operation protocol, development/stability/evaluation reports, change control, purchase requisitions (PR), invoices, SOPs and CAPAs etc.

  • Coordinate with regional global logistics team to optimize the shipping mode and work with Freight Forwarders to visualize the value capture/saving initiative

  • Ensure the site inventory reconciliation process is robust and zero variance

  • Oversight all site visual board and MPS related tools are executed effectively         

  • Lead in site Warehouse Community of Practice and supports Regional Communities of Practice as required, and shares best practices

  • Lead and manage the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Zuellig to ensure all logistics activities are delivered and improve the efficiency of warehousing and repackaging operations

  • Act as SME for Inventory Management System and Logistics Operations

  • Manage and work with external vendors, contractors, and Warehouse resources to execute site activities

  • Ensure all assigned deviations, events, atypicals and customer complaints are fully investigated with any assigned actions effectively implemented within the agreed time frame in a way that continually improves processes, prevents waste and eliminates rework


Financial Stewardship



  • Ensure all invoices are verified and resolves any discrepancies with vendors

  • Undertake activities to support realization of production, cost effectiveness, and product cost reduction targets set in the Profit Plan, with particular emphasis on Warehouse operation cost, reliability, and reducing waste

  • Lead development and implementation of Warehouse and inventory cost reduction initiatives and projects, participates and executes site cost reduction initiatives

  • Ensure Warehouse equipment maintenance program is cost-effective, frequency of scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment breakdowns

  • Effectively manages and plans labor utilization, minimizes overtime usage, and promotes a culture of low absenteeism

  • Lead and manage Warehouse budget and site freight budget expenses within the profit plan and support cost reduction initiative

  • Manage warehouse resources to meet the total region headcount reduction strategy


Quality / SHE Stewardship



  • Ensure all direct reports and contractors receive required cGMP, trained on SHE policies, safety and role-related training required to work safely and in compliance with quality and SHE regulatory requirements

  • Lead and demonstrate Quality/SHE leadership behavior, promotes a Quality/Safety culture, proactively supports cGMP/Safety compliance and permanent inspection readiness

  • Ensure all work group activities are completed according to established procedures, all associated documentation is completed to a high standard, and in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Ensure all site GMP activities are completed according to established procedures and all associated documentation is completed to a high standard, and respond to all regulatory auditor questions and manages compliance requirements

  • Improve site 'Right First Time' performance through deviation reduction and the provision of error-proofed documentation

  • Ensure site GMP documentation is made available during regulatory inspections,  provides technical expertise, and implements corrective actions as required following regulatory inspections and internal audits

  • Act as Quality Sub-System Owner for Warehouse, inventory & logistics sub-systems in SQC 

  • Lead and improve the performance of the logistics team to ensure effective risk assessment and  change control management are carried out in a timely manner and required actions implemented


People Excellence



  • Coach direct report to troubleshoot logistics challenges, warehouse equipment and systems, recovery, and implementation of corrective actions in a way that minimizes unscheduled downtime and breakdowns

  • Lead and manage my direct report to meet performance KPI's, including: production schedule, productivity, customer service, customer satisfaction, RDC, VSM cycle-time, RFT, Kaizen Blitz control, financial and budget

  • Lead and maintain warehouse communication sessions, effective communication between site supervisors, logistics shifts and directional change of the commercialize model

  • Coach direct report to identify and implement continuous improvement activities to improve warehouse operations, Logistics Operations, Manpower performance enforcement, productivity efficiency, and cost effectiveness

  • Effectively implements the Performance Management Process (PMP), ensures that objectives are developed, provides timely continuous feedback to direct reports, and appropriately rewards team members based on performance and demonstration of leadership standards

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and identifies opportunities to multi-skill Warehouse Technicians, and mentor others to build Warehouse and inventory skills and ensures any Warehouse and inventory activities are capably performed by those other resources – outsource

  • Ensure all direct reports have a development plan which supports achievement of objectives and future professional growth. Creates an Employee Development Plan (EDP) with each direct report and effectively mentors the employee to enhance performance

  • Exercise delegate decision making to most appropriate level

  • Maintain positive working relationships among employees and fosters an environment where employee engagement, empowerment, teamwork, and accountability are the cultural norm

  • Provide effective, regular and timely communication to their team and ensures that continuous feedback is given to support team performance

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of my direct reports to deliver high quality services which are timely, cost effective, cGMP, right culture in continuously enhancing operational efficiencies and business compliant

  • Demonstrate leadership behavior in alignment with leadership standards

  • Develop and update annual Employee Development Plan (EDP) with my Manager and aligned with the Performance Management Process

  • Ensure operational knowledge and technical skills are maintained and comply with individual training and job requirements

  • Coach and develop my future successor to ensure his enquire right skills and knowledge to minimum business interruption during transition change
